Event Name: AKS Kannada Rajyotsava and Deepavali 2024

Terms and Conditions for Participation

1.    Registration and Participation:

    By registering for this event, you confirm that you are the authorized representative for your family (if attending as a family) and are agreeing to these terms on behalf of all registered members.
   
 2.    Assumption of Risk:
    Participants understand that attending the event may involve inherent risks, including but not limited to slips, falls, or accidents. AKS, its committee, organizers, and volunteers are not responsible for any personal injuries, illnesses, or damages to personal property that may occur during the event.


3.    Release of Liability:
   By attending this event, participants agree to release and hold harmless Austin Kannada Sangha (AKS), its committee members, organizers, volunteers, and the Tylor Event Center from any and all liability, claims, or actions that may arise out of participation in the event, including, but not limited to, injury, illness, loss, or damage to property.


4.    Children and Supervision:
    Parents or guardians are responsible for supervising their children at all times. AKS and its volunteers will not be responsible for supervising minors during the event.


5.    Health and Safety:
   Participants must follow all safety protocols, and any instructions provided by event staff to ensure the safety and well-being of all attendees. AKS reserves the right to refuse entry or participation to anyone who does not comply with these protocols or displays disruptive behavior.


6.    Photographs and Media:
    By attending the event, participants consent to being photographed or recorded for use in AKS promotional materials, social media, or future event promotions. If you do not wish to be photographed or recorded, please notify the event organizers in writing before the event.


7.    Event Changes or Cancellation:
    AKS reserves the right to change the date, location, or schedule of the event or cancel the event if circumstances require. In such a case, registered participants will be notified, but AKS is not liable for any costs incurred by participants in preparation for the event.


8.    COVID-19 or Other Health Guidelines:
    Participants agree to adhere to any health guidelines or regulations in effect at the time of the event (e.g., mask mandates, social distancing) and to follow the recommendations provided by health officials. Failure to comply may result in removal from the event without a refund.


9.    Alcohol and Drugs:
   The consumption of alcohol or illegal substances is strictly prohibited during the event. AKS reserves the right to remove any participant who is under the influence and poses a risk to themselves or others.


10.    Indemnity:

    Participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless AKS, its committee, volunteers, and the venue from any claims, demands, damages, or losses, including reasonable attorney’s fees, arising out of their participation in the event.

11.    Force Majeure:

    AKS shall not be responsible for any failure or delay in the performance of its obligations due to circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government restrictions, or pandemics.

12.    Governing Law:

    These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas. Any disputes shall be resolved under the jurisdiction of Texas courts.
