Sampige
Cover Page Design contest!
Rekindle
your
artistic
abilities! Design a great cover page for Rajyotsava and
Deepavali
edition of Sampige. Winner's name will be announced in the newsletter
and on the AKS website. Winner's design will be used as the cover page
of the 2010 R'n'D edition of Sampige. Please submit your entries to sampige@austinkannadasangha.org.
Guidelines:-
- Your
entries must reach
us before Oct. 30, 2010
- Design
must be original.
However you can use pictures of places, cities, people, events etc.
- You
can submit any
number of entries.
- You
can submit entries
in the form of jpeg/gif/bmp/pdf/ppt/word
- Design
must fit the A4
size paper.
- AKS committee will
decide the
winner.

We are looking for photos/pictures of the past 10 years and beyond to
be used to make a slide about AKS history. Any event pictures

SIKSHANA:
Looking for voulnteers to create a Kannada software interface
Prasanna
Ragavendra, an ex-AKS member,
is currently heading an NGO
called SIKSHANA in Bengaluru working with rural government schools.
Message from him: For
technology intervention, we have a specific software called Etoys (http://www.squeakland.org/)
which has proven itself to be an excellent software. We are now
thinking of creating a Kannada interface with the help of the
developers and are looking for volunteers who can help on this. If any
